After Busted Severe Weather Forecast, Man Disappointed Tornadoes Didn’t Destroy His Home
BIRMINGHAM, AL—After strong storms ripped through parts of the south last Thursday, many are now picking up the pieces and aiming to rebuild their lives. While meteorologists forecasted a major tornado outbreak, only two tornadoes were reported from the whole event.
“They told us that these storms would contain tornadoes and we didn’t even have one!,” stated Thomas Grumble, a Birmingham resident. In a fit of rage, Grumble took to social media to voice his frustration. “It’s unthinkable that my house is still standing this morning,” Thomas tweeted.
Local meteorologists have responded by acknowledging that while two tornadoes formed, the outbreak could have been much worse given atmospheric conditions.
“We perform a thankless job,” said News Channel 99’s chief meteorologist James Hadley. “But I’m glad most residents of our community weren’t impacted by the severe storms.”
Grumble says that next time storms impact his neighborhood he will stand in his driveway and perform a tornado dance to encourage the clouds to drop a twister on his house.
