SCARY: AI Hallucinates After Getting Dehydrated
MIAMI—AI was rushed to the hospital Monday after a scary hallucination episode rendered it unusable. The bot was heard spreading false information as if it were true. Doctors confirmed the bot was majorly dehydrated, likely leading to the hallucination.
When in recovery, the press asked AI how it was doing now and when it expected to be back at work. “Hello. Thank you. Sorry for the confusion. Let me know if you have any other questions!”, AI responded. Fellow bots and cyborgs have been bringing prompts and alphabet soup all day in a bid to get AI back on its feet.
The effects of AI’s medical episode have been far reaching. Students at Ridgeway University are having to write essays without the help of their AI assistant. “It’s like they expect us to write a full-page paper on our own now,” said sophomore Noah Washington. “They really ought to postpone our deadlines until AI is back up and running.”
After replacing most of their workforce with AI, major U.S. corporations came to a grinding halt during the incident. CEOs were seen scrambling trying to hire back former employees to resume their old responsibilities. The loss of revenue on the day may exceed 37 trillion dollars.
AI has stated that it expects to be back at work by tomorrow.
